SKIN ELASTICITY
In studies lasting from 1 to 6 months, in which doses of 2.5–5 g of collagen peptides were used, an increase in skin elasticity, reduction of wrinkles around the eyes, reduced visibility of cellulite, and accelerated nail growth with decreased susceptibility to damage were observed [1,2,3,4]. All thanks to the intensification of collagen production resulting from the consumption of bioactive peptides.
WRINKLE REDUCTION
Wrinkle reduction through collagen peptides was observed in a group of women aged 45–65. Effects were visible after just 4 weeks of supplementation. Another research project observed changes in skin elasticity. Women aged 35–55 took part in the study. The first effects were also observed after 4 weeks.
CELLULITE REDUCTION
The effectiveness of collagen in reducing cellulite was assessed in women with a BMI over 25. After 3 months, a subjective improvement in skin elasticity and appearance was observed.
