Pistachio porridge – recipe

There are mornings when you want to start the day off right — with something warm, creamy and fragrant with vanilla. Something that envelops you like a blanket, but at the same time gives you energy and the feeling that you are doing something good just for yourself. Pistachio porridge is exactly that: velvety, slightly sweet, full of aroma and with that nutty accent that makes it look and taste like a little bowl of pleasure.

Porridge that creates its own little ritual

From the moment the flakes begin to soften to the moment you add the pistachio paste and the whole thing turns a delicate green colour, this porridge gives you a unique sensation. It is both simple and impressive, and with raspberries and pistachios on top, it looks like breakfast from a café. It's the kind of meal where you take the first bite and automatically slow down. It's filling, soft and... simply delicious.

Why is it worth making?

Because it's a recipe that combines quick preparation with a dessert-like end result. The porridge thickens thanks to the custard powder, is velvety thanks to the milk, and the pistachio paste adds character and nutty depth. You can sweeten it or leave it more neutral — it adapts perfectly to your mood and additions. It's a breakfast that raises the bar for all other porridges.

Ingredients

  • 40 g oat flakes
  • 150 ml water
  • 100 ml milk
  • 10 g vanilla-flavoured pudding powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of 100% ALLNUTRITION pistachio paste
  • a dash of matcha (optional, for colour)
  • a dash of sweetener (optional)

To serve: vanilla skyr, chopped pistachios, raspberries, pistachio paste

Preparation

Pour the flakes into a saucepan and cover with water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to the boil, cooking until the flakes have absorbed most of the liquid and softened. Meanwhile, mix the custard powder with the milk and pour it into the porridge, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy.

When the porridge has a velvety consistency, add a teaspoon of pistachio paste and, if you like, a little matcha, which will give it a subtle green colour. If you are using sugar-free custard, you can sweeten it with maple syrup, honey or sweetener to suit your taste. Stir until all the ingredients are combined into a smooth mixture.

Pour the porridge into a bowl and serve with vanilla skyr, fresh raspberries, chopped pistachios and a little pistachio paste on top. It looks impressive and tastes even better.

Why do these porridges have so many fans?

Because they are quick, impressive and provide that little moment of morning pleasure that sets the tone for a better day. Everyone can tailor them to their liking — toppings, sweetness, colour, consistency — and they taste a little different every time. It's the kind of breakfast you'll want to come back to.
